“Simplicity was essential, so we designed the interfaces to present control options by floor and room,” Ras explains of their conscientious programming decisions. “There are also commands that affect the entire house, and controls for individual systems like HVAC remain quickly and easily accessible.”

With just a tap on elegantly engraved keypads, touchscreens, handheld remotes, or smartphones, the family can control their entire home in seconds. Even complex routines, like preparing the house for bedtime, are effortlessly streamlined to a single button press. Lights gradually fade, shades and garage doors close, alarms arm, and thermostats adjust automatically — ensuring comfort and security with minimal effort.

A massive 200-inch Screen Innovations projection screen, a high-performance JVC projector, and a Dolby Atmos surround-sound system create an immersive cinematic experience that rivals a commercial theater — enhanced with personalized touches that make it truly one of a kind.

Beyond the cutting-edge AV components, Daisy incorporated acoustical treatments, plush seating for 12, and carefully curated artwork into the theater design. “These elements are just as crucial to the comfort and performance of the space as the technology itself,” Ras says. “That’s why we include them as part of our comprehensive theater solutions.”

With a single command from the remote, the AV system powers on in perfect sequence, while the lights gradually dim to give guests time to settle in. For more casual viewing, Daisy outfitted several rooms with Samsung The Frame TVs. “The owners loved that these displays double as artwork, seamlessly blending with the home’s clean, contemporary aesthetic,” Ras says. Each TV is paired with a hidden Roku player for easy access to streaming content, while audio is delivered through discreet, flush-mounted Sonance ceiling speakers. These same speakers also broadcast music and doorbell chimes, all seamlessly distributed through a central Control4 system that delivers audio to any or all of the home’s 15 listening zones. The playlist and location are completely up to the user from one of the intuitive Control4 interface.

This multi-faceted AV distribution system is particularly convenient when the family is enjoying the theater or outdoor spaces. After hearing the chime play through the speakers the family can access the Control4 app on their smartphones to instantly access live footage from any of the home’s six Control4 video intercom stations, as well as Luma surveillance cameras.
